
Susan Ceklosky has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She received a Master of Software Engineering Degree from Penn State University.
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Susan accepted a software consultant position with Andersen Consulting, now Accenture. While working for Andersen Consulting, her primary role was as a programmer/developer. She gained extensive knowledge in the C and C++ programming languages, UNIX scripting, and SQL. She worked for Andersen Consulting for four years and then accepted a software engineer position with Verizon. She was given a wide array of work experience while employed for Verizon. She was the lead member of a Requirements, Analysis and Design team where she completed levels of effort, general and detailed designs. She was a member of Verizon's Software Engineering Process Group where she planned process improvement programs and worked with senior management to align the programs with Verizon’s business goals. She led a team of 15 software engineers in the development of web service interfaces to increase customer self-service using the Verizon.com platform for ordering and billing.
Susan has been a college instructor since 2010. She has broad knowledge of teaching and organizing a virtual learning environment. She has taught a wide variety of Computer Science courses including Programming Languages, Data Structures, Systems Analysis and Design, Algorithms in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Application Development and Design, Web Programming, Database Design & Development, Database Security, Mobile Application Programming, Team Programming Techniques
