Brice Nixon teaches in the areas of journalism and media studies. He is faculty advisor to The Griffin, CHC's student news publication. His research examines media industries, and his current focus is the ways in which industries capitalize on attention, treating it as a source of value and object of control.

Prior to CHC, he taught at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Temple University, Ursinus College, Baruch College, and the University of La Verne. He was a visiting scholar at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Paris 8. He has a Ph.D. in Media Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, an M.A. in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of La Verne. Brice was also a sports journalist in Los Angeles for six years.
