By Train:
Both the Chestnut Hill East (R7) and the Chestnut Hill West (R8) lines service Chestnut Hill from Center City Philadelphia and 30th Street Station. Chestnut Hill East also provides service from Trenton, NJ and Northeast Philadelphia. If using Chestnut Hill East (R7), walk two blocks down Chestnut Hill Avenue to Germantown Pike. Take the L Bus to the campus, one mile west, or walk to campus from the train station.

By Bus:
The SEPTA L Bus picks up on Germantown Avenue directly across from the College’s main entrance. The L Bus provides service between the Plymouth Meeting Mall and the Olney Transportation Center. The bus stop is right across the street from the main entrance of campus off of Germantown Avenue.

Shuttles
Students, faculty, and staff have access to campus shuttles, which provide pick-ups at both the Chestnut Hill East and Chestnut Hill West train stations and drop-offs at both the main campus and SugarLoaf campus. For real-time tracking updates, make sure to download the campus shuttle app.
Parking
Note: All parking on campus is at your own risk. The College holds no liability or responsibility for any damage or theft that may occur while parked on campus.
Visiting:
When visiting campus as a prospective student, member of the community, or friend/family member of a student, please make arrangements for parking in advance of your visit by contacting the Office of Safety and Security at 215-248-7000. All visitors (with the exception of those on campus for an admissions tour or presentation) will be provided a temporary parking permit and will be directed to park in the Visitor Lot near the soccer field.
Alternatively, there is parking available on Northwestern Avenue. While this parking is not intended for College use, guests and visitors may park if you follow the restrictions. If you do park along Northwestern, you are limited to two hours maximum, between the hours of 9AM – 6PM, Monday through Friday. If you park outside of these hours or park longer than two hours at a time, you will be ticketed by the Springfield Police Department.
Accommodations:
If you require an accommodation related to parking and transportation such as a handicap parking space (permitted only with a state issues handicap placard) or a ride from the lower lot to the front of campus, please mention that when confirming the date and time of your visit.
Vendors:
Vendors to campus can request a vendor permit, which is valid from September 1-August 31 of each year. Vendors will need to re-apply for their permit at the end of that period. To request a vendor permit, please contact studentlife@chc.edu.
Current Students
Student permits are valid from September 1 – August 31 of each year and the price varies based on resident status (this includes the permit, a transaction fee and shipping & handling). Residential freshman and sophomore students are not allowed to park on campus without appropriate permission.
