We encourage the students, faculty and staff to be alert, to take precautions, and to report anything suspicious, unusual or of a criminal nature to the Department of Safety and Campus Security by dialing extension 7777 from an on campus phone or 215-242-7777 from off campus or a cell phone.

The main security desk is located in Fournier Hall. The Security Office is located in Fontbonne Hall on the ground level facing Tobacco Road. The number to the information desk, located at the security station, is 215-248-7090. In addition, there are several emergency phones located throughout the campus inside the buildings. Ten emergency blue light phones are located throughout campus. 

In addition, all students, faculty, and staff are All CHC students are required to carry a valid photo identification card at all times. This ID is for use of the college library, for admission to campus buildings and events, and for presentation upon request of a college official or security at any time. Also, students will need your CHC ID card to sell used books back to the bookstore.

During the first week of the term, security staff will be located in Fontbonne Hall (Basement Level) to create your photo ID, which you must carry with you whenever you are on campus. Please bring your college ID number with you; the security guard will need it to process your ID card.

Campus Emergency and Closing Notifications

Chestnut Hill College provides a web-based service that uses voice messaging, text messaging, electronic mail and RSS feeds to send critical messages to the campus community. It is subscription-based and requires members of the Chestnut Hill College community to opt into the service.

While the service is free, standard voice and text messaging charges may apply.
