FAQs for Transfer Students

How many transfer students attend Chestnut Hill College?

Roughly 33% of the student body is comprised of transfer students from other two and four year colleges.

How many credits do I need to apply as a transfer student?

Transfer applicants may apply with any number of pre-existing credits. However if you transfer before earning your Associates Degree, you must submit high school transcript prior to enrollment. ***Thie additional material will not hinder the admission decision.

Transfer of Credits 

Chestnut Hill College will accept up to 75 transfer credits provided the courses meet the criteria outlined below. Regardless of the number of credits transferred to the College, students must complete a minimum of 45 academic credits at Chestnut Hill College in order to earn a degree. Students must also meet all applicable Core and Major Requirements as outlined in the catalog, which may require them to complete more than 45 academic credits.

Chestnut Hill College has established exchange agreements with the institutions listed below that allow students from these universities to attend CHC for study or research programs. Please note, CHC does accept short-term visiting students who are not from our recognized exchange partners.
