Course Highlights

TRIAL AND ADVOCACY PRACTICE (LEGL 301) - The nuts and bolts of preparing for trial including drafting of selected pre-trial documents and demonstration of oral advocacy skills. Introduction to the rules of evidence. This course also includes guest speakers from judges and lawyers and court observations. 

LEGAL TECHNOLOGY (LEGL 201) - Hands-on training in legal platforms that offer time-keeping, litigation management and litigation support; introduction to ediscovery and consideration of related legal ethics.

LEGAL RESEARCH (LEGL 203) - Introduction to the formulation of legal research queries, developing legal research plans and conducting and updating researching using statutes, regulations, and case law.

Requirements/Prerequisites:
A minimum Career GPA of 2.50 and a minimum Major GPA of 2.50 are required for graduation. Unless indicated, students must earn a grade of C- (1.70) or better to successfully complete the requirements for the Major Must maintain a C- average during undergrad
