The Catholic Philopatrian Literary Scholarship was established by the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute, a Philadelphia-based organization that provides an environment for Catholics to enjoy the fellowship of other Catholics and to foster relationships among Philo members. The scholarship is an annual term award and provides partial tuition to a student who meets the following criteria:          

• Attends the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute's President's Reception          
• Writes a letter of appreciation to the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute
