The Symposium will take place at the Chateau at SugarLoaf at Chestnut Hill College. On the day of the event there will be a designated parking lot for Symposium attendees. There will also be volunteers to help with parking. There is limited handicapped parking directly in front of the Chateau. The area in front of the Chateau can also be used as a drop off location.
NOTE: If using a GPS to get to the College, use the following addresses:
SugarLoaf Hill: 9220 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118
SugarLoaf is at the corner of Bells Mill Road and Germantown Avenue.
TIP: We are located across Germantown Avenue from Woodmere Art Museum.
The entrance is marked by red signs with the Chestnut Hill College logo and “SugarLoaf Hill”. You can enter from either Germantown Avenue or Bells Mill Road.
- The Chateau is hidden from view, so you won’t see any buildings from the street. Look for a park-like setting on the corner and large red signs with the College logo.
- If you are coming from the Roxborough area on Bells Mill Road, turn left onto the driveway just before you reach the traffic light on Germantown Avenue.
- If you are coming from Chestnut Hill, heading north on Germantown Avenue, turn left onto Bells Mill Road at the traffic light and then IMMEDIATELY turn right onto the driveway.
- If you are coming from Montgomery County, heading south on Germantown Avenue, stay in the right hand lane and turn right onto the driveway before the traffic light at Bells Mill Road. If you miss the driveway, turn right onto Bells Mill Road and then IMMEDIATELY right again onto the driveway.
Once you arrive on the property, stay to your left and follow the driveway up the hill.
- The driveway is lined with black lampposts with red banners. Follow the red Event Parking signs posted along the driveway to the guest parking area.
Guests with special parking needs: You can park in the courtyard in front of the estate house (The Commonwealth Chateau). Ignore the Event Parking sign and follow the driveway to the very top of the hill, turning left at the stop sign.
