Chestnut Hill College had more than 70 walkers participate as part of the “Lynette’s Griffins” team at the Autism Speaks walk on November 2nd at Citizens Bank Park. The College’s team, named in honor of Lynette Bishop, an alumna of Chestnut Hill College who passed away shortly after her 2010 graduation, raised $1800 for Autism Speaks through online donations and raffles. Joining Chestnut Hill’s Council for Exceptional Children on the walk was the College’s women’s softball and soccer teams, Lynette’s mother and family members, and Tony Coelho, author of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This is the fifth year that Chestnut Hill’s Council for Exceptional Children has participated in the walk.
