CHC observes Asian Pacific American Heritage Month during April due to the academic year ending during the first week of May, which is the official APAHM.
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion will host Councilman David Oh as our speaker on April 9th from 4:30-5:30 in East Parlor.
Councilman Oh was elected to City Council At-Large in November 2011 and took office in January 2012. He is in the final year of his second term. David was the first Asian-American elected to political office in Philadelphia. He is also the only military veteran currently serving on City Council. Oh's talk will include his story and contributions of the Asian Pacific Americans to the Philadelphia community.
