On Wednesday, August 30, at 8:00PM, in Sorgenti Arena, the Department of Athletics and Student Life are hosting a presentation which focuses on sexual abuse and relationship violence. The name of the program is called “We Need to Talk.”  Our presenter, Ms. Janine Latus, author of The New York Times bestseller: “If I Am Missing or Dead: A Sister’s Story of Love, Murder and Liberation,” will be with us to speak to us about signs to look for regarding abusive relationships. Her story is both riveting and extremely sad. With that said, if her presentation can encourage people to recognize signs of sexual misconduct/relationship violence and act upon it, she will have been successful. The presentation is free to attend and open to the public. It will be followed by a Q&A and will run until about 9:30PM.
