Night of Poems

Night of Poems

October 14, 2019 - 7:00pm
Location:
Hot Bed, 723 Chestnut Street, 2nd floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Poems Night is a monthly poetry event showcasing up-and-coming spoken word talent first followed by a lottery-style open mic. Aside from the cult following it built, it’s also known for being arguably the most forgiving open mic of its kind, lending itself to experimental performances in front of a captive and supportive audience.

Free. 21+ implied because of alcoholic beverages being served, but it's really all ages. Drinks will be available for a donation of $1–5. Proceeds benefit the space. Seating is first-come-first-serve, but there's plenty of room for you. Books, zines, and other wonderful things by the features will be available for purchase.

Interested in a feature? All skill levels are welcome. Features get 10–15 minutes. Bring your zines, crafts, and other works if you want to sell them. Email our host a small bio + your best writing samples. // stephanie.czapla@gmail.com
