Chestnut Hill College’s Center for Integrated Humanities (IHC) wants to invite all members of the CHC community to take a break and explore something different this Fall through a series of open classes.
One of the classes is “Religion and Popular Culture” taught by religious studies professor Stephen Martin. The course will take place on Tuesday, November 19th at 12:30PM in the SJH Art Studio. The description for the course can be found below:
“Students teach by choosing and showing a short video clip, from hip-hop to country, which visually expresses a spiritual dimension in that song’s narrative (not always in support of formal religion). They then connect this to the themes of transcendence, embodiment, connectedness, and/or ritual that we’ve covered.”
Please contact Suzanne delGizzo (delgizzos@chc.edu) for more information on the open courses and if you have an accommodation request.
