Chestnut Hill College’s Center for Integrated Humanities (IHC) wants to invite all members of the CHC community to take a break and explore something different this Fall through a series of open classes.
One of the classes is “The Origins of the Blues” taught by music professor Kathleen McCloskey, SSJ. The course will take place on Wednesday, November 13th at 12:30PM in SJH 520. The description for the course can be found below:
“Devil’s Music” is what it was called. Music that expressed the deep feelings and emotions of the social outcasts and drags of society. It came to be called the ‘blues.’
Please contact Suzanne delGizzo (delgizzos@chc.edu) for more information on the open courses and if you have an accommodation request.
