Chestnut Hill College’s Center for Integrated Humanities (IHC) wants to invite all members of the CHC community to take a break and explore something different this Fall through a series of open classes.
One of the classes is “Getting to Know Your Characters On and Off the Page,” taught by creative writing professor, Autumn Konopka. The course will take place on Thursday, October 24th at 2PM in Martino Hall 309. The description for the course can be found below:
Often, we only think about the character attributes that seem directly relevant to our story. However, when we consider the less “relevant” details, we start to understand our characters more fully, which can translate into characters that are more relatable to readers. This season of Writing Fiction will be focused on generative writing exercises that any writer could do at any stage of the process to help gain better insight and perspective on their characters.
Please contact Suzanne delGizzo (delgizzos@chc.edu) for more information on the open courses and if you have an accommodation request.
