The exhibition surrounds the origins of the game of baseball - is it a purely American invention or a derivation from games brought over by the British? This was a hotly contested issue in the 19^th Century, that, when attempts were made to settle the question, the conclusions were of dubious quality. Students will play the games that are often associated with the origins of baseball.
