The Chestnut Hill Local printed four photos and captions during the last two weeks of February:

  • February 16 - CHC’s Global March for Unity and CHC’s hosting of MLK Community Day.
  • February 23 - Dr. Lawrence Little’s lecture and the Steinway Artist Concert featuring Karen Walwyn.

On February 16, the Chestnut Hill Local ran a feature story about CHC alum, Monica Vesci, who graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 2004. Vesci designed a stylish clutch for women with diabetes in which they can organize and carry their supplies.

On February 18 and 19, CHC hosted a climate conference presented by the Citizens Climate Lobby. The Intelligencer had the story.

The Times News announced that Thespina Godshalk ’10, SGS, was named the new director of Teen Central.

Pia Troutman ’45, and her husband, Bill, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary recently. The Retrospect had the story.

The Springfield Sun announced that Norwood-Fontbonne Academy was recently awarded a grant from PAIS-BOA to address environmental stability and foster collaboration between NFA and neighboring institutions. NFA teamed up with Parents Association, Chestnut Hill College, Morris Arboretum and Boyer Sudduth.
