international students ride bikes in Belgium
Six CHC students studying in Belgium this semester join others in bike riding.
Italian representative on campus
Gloria Lupo Pasini, from CHC's partner university in Italy, joins Trachanda Garcia, director of global education, on campus in September.

CHC is well on its way to becoming truly a global community with more than 100 international students attending each year and partnerships with 20 institutions of higher education in other countries.  The Global Education Office staff has had a busy semester:

  • In mid-September, Gloria Lupo Pasini, a representative from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, CHC’s partner university in Milan, Italy, visited campus and met with several deans and faculty members and students. Two CHC students studied at the Università in the spring semester. Students may attend the Università, one of CHC’s newest partner universities, for a semester or a full year, taking classes and participating in international internship opportunities.
  • A study abroad information session was held in early September and another will be held in the near future. Check with the Global Education Office for more information.
  • Travels at Teatime has resumed, which gives exchange students the chance to share a taste of their home country and culture with the greater CHC community. The series kicked off by featuring Portugal and was led by six students who are studying at CHC from Catholic University of Portugal-Porto. The next Travels at Teatime is scheduled for October 17 and will feature students from one of CHC’s partner universities in Spain.
  • Meanwhile, six CHC students are nearly halfway through their semester study abroad experience at HOWEST (University College West-Flanders). They were welcomed at an event at the Bruges City Hall, and in addition to their studies, they have been busy sampling some of the local activities, including biking through Bruges.
