Residence halls close for the various breaks during the fall semester. Please make your travel arrangements now in accordance with these dates and times. Specific details regarding each break will be distributed with procedures for proper check-out.
Any student needing to stay during the fall or Thanksgiving break will need to apply for break housing. You must live at least 300 miles (5+ hours) away from campus to apply, unless you are an approved athlete in season, student teaching or have an internship for credit. Having a part-time job near campus is not a valid reason to apply for break housing.
No meals will be available during breaks, unless you are an athlete or international student. Approved students may not have any guests during the break period except other students approved for break; all other policies are in place.
You must apply for each break by the deadline listed, and you can apply online on the MYCHC Portal on the housing page. There is a $10 late application fee. Additional fees may apply.
No students are permitted to stay in the halls during the semester break (December-January), except men’s and women’s basketball players.

Check-out 24 hours after last exam; final close Friday 12/9/16 at 6 p.m. (Last meal, modified dinner)
Re-open Sunday 1/15/17 at noon (first meal, dinner)
