It is time, once again, to nominate an alum for one of two awards bestowed annually by the Alumni Association. Please give this some thought and submit nominations for the following two awards:

  • The Eleanore Dolan Egan ’28 Award for Outstanding Service to Chestnut Hill College recognizes volunteer service to the College through the Alumni Association.
  • The Distinguished Achievement Award recognizes alums who have distinguished themselves in their business or profession or in civic, philanthropic or other volunteer activities.

Nominations are due by December 31. They will be evaluated and honorees selected by the Alumni Association Honors & Awards Committee. Send nominations to

Distinguished Achievement Award or Egan Award

As nominations are processed by the Awards & Honors Committee, nominees for the Egan Award are asked to provide references from alumni of their record of volunteerism to the College.

Nominees for the Distinguished Achievement Award are asked to submit references from non-College/non-alum professional colleagues who will speak to the nominee's record of professional achievements.

November 18: Mask & Foil Opening Night Alumni Reception   Prior to the opening night production of “The Matchmaker” by Thornton Wilder, join us for refreshments from 5 to 6:45 p.m. in the music corridor on the first floor of St. Joseph Hall. Email alumni@chc.edu to register.

December 2:  Alumni Holiday Cheer 
After the Carol Night concert, travel to the Chateau at SugarLoaf for an adults-only happy hour to kick off your holiday celebrations. The reception will start at 8:30 p.m. Pre-register for discounted tickets at www.chcgriffinsonline.com/cheer16. You must be 21 to attend this event.

December 11: Breakfast with Santa
Join Mr. and Mrs. Claus during their annual trip to CHC! Enjoy a full buffet breakfast along with storytime and some one-on-one time with Santa and the Mrs.! Be sure to register early as this event sells out every year. www.chcgriffinsonline.com/bws16. The event is held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
