The Tichenor-Greer Scholars program recognizes talented prospective and current students who are interested in pursuing majors and careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and who are from populations traditionally underrepresented in STEM Fields – students of color, low income, and/or first-generation college students.
Each year a cohort of up to 20 first-year students who intend to earn a bachelor’s degree in one of the following STEM majors at Chestnut Hill College listed below are selected to be Tichenor-Greer Scholars:
- Computer and Information Sciences
- Computer and Information Technology
- Computer Systems Management
- Digital Forensics
- Environmental Sciences
- Exercise Science
- Forensic Biology
- Forensic Chemistry
- Health Sciences
- Mathematical and Computer Science
- Molecular Biology
- Sports Medicine
Through a generous gift From Patricia Tichenor-Greer (’62), Ph. D. and Carl Greer, Ph. D., selected students are awarded a scholarship, a book stipend, as well as a cadre of intensive support services during the school year through the Academic Support Program.
