Welcome to Chestnut Hill College!

At CHC, we know that the transition to college is a big one, which is why we have a two part orientation experience for all new students. In July, you will attend Griffin GO sessions, where you will have the opportunity to learn about academics, student life, and financial information.In August, you will attend an orientation experience where you will learn about important information, meet other new students and get to know campus! Both experiences are important to your success as a new Griffin! Be sure to visit the New Student Guide on the MyCHC portal so that you can complete important documents and find about great opportunities. 

New Student Guide

The New Student Guide is on an important to do list for all new Griffins. The to do list includes important forms and placement tests that are requried of new students in the School of Undergraduate Studies at Chestnut Hill College. 

In order to access the New Student Guide, please visit my.chc.edu and login with your credentials. Once you've logged in, click on the New Students tab. Griffin GO: Virtual Pre-Orientation

Griffin GO is a way for new students to learn about information and resources and also to meet other new students, orientation leaders, and faculty and staff members. 

Virtual pre-orientation will include a series of required and optional online meetings and information sessions. These include academic advising, student financial services, and student life sessions in addition to other small group meetings.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is an important experience for incoming first year students and transfers. The weekend helps students adjust to life at CHC through fun activities, educational programs, and the introduction to helpful resources. All students are assigned to an orientation team when they check-in. Each team has a dedicated group of Orientation Leaders who will help new students navigate not just the orientation weekend, but also are available to assist throughout the fall semester. New Student Orientation is August 27th-August 29th, 2021*. Orientation activities will officially get underway after Move-in on Friday, August 27th for residents and commuters.

*COVID-19 Note- We are continuing to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 and will make appropriate adjustments to New Student Orientation as needed and required. We are working on plans that prioritize the health and safety of our new students, orientation leaders, and faculty and staff.

Check-in for New Student Orientation*:

Resident Students- Friday, August 27th.

Times slots are based on the first letter of your last name

10am-Noon Noon-2pm 2pm-4pm
A-G H-Q R-Z

When you arrive, enter through the main entrance of the College. You will be directed to your unloading zone. Students will begin the check-in process in McCaffery Lounge (Fournier Hall). Students will not be permitted to proceed with check-in if they have not completed the COVID Vaccine Verification process outlined above.

We are asking that no more than two cars per student for the move-in process (including the resident if applicable). Once unloaded, cars will be required to move to the lower parking lot to make room for other students and their families.

We ask that all students and families abide by their time slot to ensure a timely move-in process. 

Commuter Students- Friday, August 27th, More information will be sent out with times and the location, closer to Orientation.
