The Chestnut Hill Local ran several stories from CHC during the past month:

  • A story about CHC’s new Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, William Cunningham, Ph.D.
  • A front page photo about Move-in Day on August 31.
  • A story about CHC’s Garden Club by Catie Hoops ’19, on August 31.
  • A photo and caption about CHC’s new board chair on August 3.

Suzanne del Gizzo, associate professor of English, appeared on BBC Radio 4 in a documentary about Earnest Hemingway’s opinions on Henry James. Her piece begins at about 22 minutes and goes to the end.

Jacqueline Reich, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, wrote about her experiences in Kenya last summer as part of a service trip sponsored by ASEC, the African Sisters Education Collaborative, in the August 2017 issue of ASEC News.

Harry Potter Weekend dates were announced in PhillyVoice.com and Patch.com, and online including CHC’s Philadelphia Brotherly Love Cup Quidditch Tournament, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Marissa Maioran ’19, outfielder for the softball team, was mentioned in the North Jersey Record in an article about students from New Jersey high schools contributing on college athletic teams, specifically baseball and softball.

Chestnut Hill College was mentioned in an article about programs at Montgomery County Community College (one of CHC’s University Center partners) in the Sanatoga Post.

Liora Schneider, a Psy.D. student from Mexico, wrote an article with Claudia Garcia-Leeds, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology and co-coordinator of the master’s program in clinical and counseling psychology about working with Latino families in North Philly.
