Assistant Professor/Instructor of Biology (Faculty/ 9 Months)

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually

Assistant Professor of Biology – Anatomy & Physiology 

The Center for Natural and Behavioral Sciences (CNBS) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Biology with expertise in undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology instruction. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position in the Department of Biology beginning August 2025. This is a 9-month appointment with $50,000 annual salary.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach multiple sections of a two-semester course in Anatomy & Physiology which includes instruction in both lecture and laboratory sessions.
  • Facilitate student mastery of core learning outcomes using the most relevant pedagogical and scholarly tools available in the discipline.
  • Participation in College committee service and CNBS initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biology, or closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated specialization in the instruction of Human Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to undergraduate mentoring of a culturally diverse student population.
  • Mastery in the use of Canvas LMS
  • Ability to work well with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to the mission of Chestnut Hill College.
