Griffins Take Flight – Introducing Our New B.S. in Aviation Science

Insert language about Aviation Science – what is it, what kind of careers can you get, general overview

The B.S. in Aviation Science, offering two distinct tracks: aviation business management and professional pilot, provides two prongs of skills and knowledge needed to seek employment in the aviation industry, one supported by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI).

With a well-rounded curriculum of business courses, graduates will be able to pursue a variety of competitive professional “on the ground” careers in aviation management and administration. Aviation coursework in private pilot certification, instrument rating, commercial pilot certification, and certified flight instructor will provide graduates the opportunity to pursue a professional pilot’s license in accordance with the FAA. All “in the air” courses will be delivered by an FAA Part 141 accredited flight school at the nearby Blue Bell, PA airfield.

Chestnut Hill College’s BS in Aviation Science and Management is the only such program in the Philadelphia region that produces graduates who can immediately gain employment as a commercial pilot.
