With almost 30 years of executive search consulting experience, Ms. Hyatt has been responsible for successfully recruiting and advising senior administrative professionals for educational and non-profit organizations. Before partnering with Dr. Fennell, she was the 2 President and owner of The Charitable Resources Group and provided not only executive search services but fundraising consulting expertise to the clients she served. She brings thirty years of management and organizational leadership experience to her role with clients. Cheryl’s breadth of experience, knowledge, and contacts makes her sought after professionally in her field. Cheryl has been a presenter and co-led sessions at the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) President’s Institute, Chief Academic Officers Institute and Dean’s meeting, the American Council of Education’s (ACE) Annual Meetings, the Association of Catholic College & Universities’ (ACCU) Aspiring Presidents workshop, and the National Association for College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). Cheryl is a member of ACE’s Executive Search Roundtable was a co-chair of the Roundtable in the past. Cheryl has written numerous articles and has been interviewed on various higher education topics. She offers weekly blogs for the higher education community, the Hyatt-Fennell Minute. Ms. Hyatt also sits on various non-profit boards offering a variety of expertise to each organization. Cheryl has been the lead consultant for senior level administrative searches for the past five years.
MARYLOUISE FENNELL, RSM, Partner
Sister Marylouise Fennell, EdD., has spent over 40 years in higher education administration and search and is one of the best-known and most highly respected consultants in the field. She is past president of Carlow University, a Catholic institution located in Pittsburgh, PA and serves as senior counsel to the Washington, DC-based Council of Independent Colleges. She has been an independent search consultant for more than twenty-five years and has consulted widely throughout the world where she worked with many colleges, universities and non-profits. Dr. Fennell has written numerous articles for the higher education community including the coediting of 17 books on higher education (http://www.hyatt-fennell.com/pages/articles.html). She has sat on sixteen college boards and has chaired six of those boards. Dr. Fennell is based in West Palm Beach, FL.
ROBERT HEAD, Ph.D., Associate Partner
Dr. Robert L. Head has more than 40 years of experience in executive and organizational leadership, including more than 20 years spent in higher education administration. He is the President Emeritus of Rockford University. Previously, Dr. Head served as the president of Urbana University, as well as the president of Rockford University. Dr. Head’s career began in the banking world of the Oshio-Toledo Trust, where he became the Vice President of Trust Services. He held the same position at Northern Trust in Chicago before his career transitioned from finance to higher education. In addition to organizational consulting, Dr. Head has also conducted research, authored associated articles, and regularly speaks to domestic and global audiences regarding matters of importance to higher education. Dr. Head currently serves on several non-profit boards and also assists with fundraising.
