This talk covers the scholarship generated by Professor Scott Browning across his career at Chestnut Hill College. Numerous articles, chapters and books have moved from empathy to stepfamilies to the overarching category of the Contemporary Family. Professor Browning has spent a career linking research to clinical practice. The primary concepts and scholary work will be examined as they advanced through his career. A current project, The Genogram Based Interaction Measure, is a tool to assist in clinical supervision and quantitative outcome of family therapy. This tool represents the culmination of Professor Browning's interest in linking research to practice and will be covered in sufficient detail to be clear to the audience the benefit of producing and validating such a measure. |
