Part-time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Position: Part-Time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Reports to: Vice President for Student Life & Dean of Students

Status:  10-month Part-time; 3 days/24 hours per week

The Student Health Center at Chestnut Hill College is a key campus resource throughout the academic year. Staffed by a registered nurse and two certified registered nurse practitioners, the Center provides comprehensive primary care services, including assessment and treatment of common conditions, physical examinations, diagnostic testing, medication management, and preventive care. The Nurse Practitioners coordinate referrals and support health education and wellness initiatives for undergraduate students.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
  • Prior experience in college or ambulatory health
  • CPR and AED certification
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the College’s Mission and Core Values, including a shared dedication to inclusive, mission-driven education that supports the development of the whole person.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing training for the registered nurses
  • Work collaboratively with the physician consultant to ensure students receive appropriate care.
  • Evaluate and treat, provide diagnostics and prescriptions, and make referrals for students as needed.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurse to coordinate the ordering of medical and other health office supplies
  • Provide annual educational training for the Residence Life staff and campus-wide health education.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all health records. Collect and review all health forms including immunization records for all undergraduate students, including periodic monitoring and follow-up during the summer months.
  • Collect and review Health Care Plans as needed
  • Provide oversight for the electronic medical records (EMR) system to ensure accuracy, security, and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate data collection related to health center utilization.
  • Work in collaboration with Registered Nurse to ensure the college is meeting all city, state, and federal requirements related to College student health.
  • Coordinate health information and necessary precautions related to health issues that affect the College community.
  • Meet regularly with nurses and Vice President for Student Life & Dean of Students as needed.
  • Report unsafe or concerning health-related issues to the Vice President for Student Life
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Student Life & Dean of Students.
