Assistant Coach – Strength and Conditioning, PT

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Physical Education, Physiology, Sport Science, or a related field preferred.
  • CSCS or CSCCa certification, CPR, and AED certification required.
  • Collegiate-level experience in strength and conditioning program development and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in supervising and instructing various weightlifting techniques, and knowledgeable in weight training equipment and conditioning methodologies.
  • Experience with injury prevention, rehabilitation support, and sport-specific training protocols.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • High moral character aligned with the mission of Chestnut Hill College.
  • Collegiate athletic or coaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes and parents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and supervise year-round, sport-specific strength and conditioning programs in coordination with coaching and Sports Medicine staff.
  • Support student-athlete rehabilitation plans as prescribed by medical professionals and athletic trainers.
  • Provide guidance on healthy dietary practices.
  • Maintain an inclusive, motivating training environment that promotes performance and student-athlete well-being.
  • Perform additional duties and support assigned projects as needed.
