ABOUT:
As it is well known, when many Griffins leave their home den, they find their way to college campuses, much like Big Griff did. Given that nickname due to having a big heart and big personality, Big Griff certainly stands tall among Griffins that can be found at other colleges/universities. He is simply the best!

Despite being 98 in human years, Big Griff is a young adult compared to the rest of his kind. With his high energy, curiosity, and the biggest personality around, Big Griff has been waiting for his chance to attend CHC and spread Griffin Pride throughout the community and surrounding Philly area. He’s in good company with his fellow local mascots, who like Big Griff, embody a larger-than-life aura. After setting up his den on campus, Big Griff began his mission to support the Chestnut Hill College Community.

He’s looking forward to attending as many events as possible and making tons of new friends along the way. If you run into Big Griff, chances are you’ll be offered a crisp, yet furry, high-five. And don’t forget to take a selfie, he loves being in the spotlight!

Favorite Activities: Hanging with friends, daydreaming, flying across the 75 acres of CHC airspace, doing little dances in his room, chatting with the campus geese (yes, they are pals)

Favorite Maxim: “Choose to make others happy and do it joyfully.” #50 of the SSJ Simple Maxims

Favorite Food: Fish filet hoagie with a side of red and blue ‘wooder’ ice

Favorite Colors: Sky blue and Terracotta red

Favorite Part about being a Mascot: Making new friends and cheering on his Griffin family.

Fun Fact: He’s friends with Gloria the Goose and her flock. They play air hockey (in the literal air) every other Tuesday.

The Gryphlings: Think of The Gryphlings as Big Griff’s personal bodyguards (also his besties). If you see Big Griff, you’ll probably see his posse too. They’re dedicated to ensuring Griff’s wings don’t get caught on any protruding architecture, helping him hype up any audiences he may have, and to scratching between his wings. They truly are ‘Dear Neighbors!’
