“Service is coming face to face with the needs and humanity of another. To be of service is to look the other in the eye, start a conversation, and recognize that our mutuality is greater than independence. We make meaning when we contribute our time, energy, and gifts to benefit the lives of others.”
The Office of Mission and Ministry offers various opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in community service throughout the semester. Service at St. Francis Inn entails helping serve meals to the community and their families and helping clean up. Transportation to and from campus will be provided.
If you are unable to attend on March 18, there will be an additional service opportunity at St. Francis Inn on April 29. Additionally, there will be a service opportunity at Face to Face Germantown on March 20 and two at Friends of the Wissahickon on March 25 and April 23.
All are welcome but spots are limited and fill up quickly! Email mcintyrer@chc.edu to sign up for any of our service opportunities this semester.
