Flag Football Head Coach (Parttime)

In alignment with Chestnut Hill College’s mission to provide a holistic educational experience, the Head Coach, in collaboration with the Director of Athletics, holds primary responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and implementing the duties and functions of the sports program. The Head Coach is expected to work closely with all stakeholders to uphold the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletic program. The Head Coach reports directly to the Director of Athletics

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level.
  • A high moral character that is in congruence with the expectations of the Mission of Chestnut Hill College.
  • A good knowledge of the sport assigned including, but not limited to, knowledge of training and conditioning techniques and the ability to diagnose player deficiencies and prescribe corrective activities.
  • Ability to communicate with student athletes and parents.

Goal and Performance Responsibilities:

  • Assign duties and responsibilities to assistant coach(es).
  • Responsible for staying fully informed of and adhering to all College, Department, CACC, and NCAA policies, and ensuring that assistant coaches and student-athletes are properly informed. This includes the annual completion of the NCAA coaching modules
  • Work with the Assistant athletic director in purchasing equipment, supplies and uniforms for the particular sport.
  • Demonstrate respect for officials, opposing coaches, visiting teams, parents, fans, student-athletes, fellow coaches, faculty and staff.
  • Attend all meetings called by conference and athletic director.
  • Recruit and engage prospective student-athletes for the athletic program, collaborating closely with both the Admissions and Athletic Departments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the coaching position as needed or directed by the Athletic Director.
  • Provide leadership that promotes positive attitudes and good sportsmanship.
  • Notify all members of the team of all policies, procedures, and training rules as they pertain to the team.
  • Responsible for maintaining current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
