Center for Education, Advocacy, and Social Justice

The Center for Education, Advocacy and Social Justice – or “EASJ” as it is known internally – combines service disciplines that all have one thing in common: each position the scholar in direct relation to the constituency which they will serve. This includes studies in education, human services, law and legal studies, and criminal justice. All taught through the institutional mission lens of “serving our Dear Neighbor,” courses in this Center focus on issues of equity and social justice and, through hands-on practicums and field integration, work to educate students to be socially conscious and ethically aware stewards in our society.
