Biomedical Distinguished Lecture SeriesCenter for Natural and Behavioral Sciences

Chestnut Hill College is thrilled to welcome back to campus Victor Diaz, M.D., Captain, USAF Medical Corps, to give the biomedical lecture as part of the Distinguished Biomedical Lecture Series.

Now in its 34th year, the series recognizes the outstanding and groundbreaking accomplishments of some of the world’s top scientists and physicians. Past lecturers include four Nobel laureates, Laskar Award winners, elected members of the National Academy of Sciences, team physicians for Philadelphia sports teams, and those at the top of their fields celebrated for transformative research and innovation.

Diaz started his undergraduate education at Chestnut Hill College in 2016, taking a course while still a high school student at La Salle College High School. Diaz went on to get his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Politics, Philosophy, & Economics. He went on to attend the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where he received his M.D.

Currently, Diaz is a military resident physician based in Biloxi, Mississippi. He holds the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force. He is currently in the second year of his Internal Medicine Residency at Keesler Air Force Base. When he isn’t working at the hospital, you can find him lost in a good book or hard at work perfecting a new recipe in the kitchen.
