The W. W. Smith Charitable Trust is a private foundation focused on the basic needs for food, clothing and shelter, supplementing higher education scholarship programs, supporting maritime education and/or maritime heritage preservation, and research in Heart Disease, Cancer and AIDS.
The scholarships provide partial tuition to full-time students who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Demonstrate college defined needs
- Meet academic merit guidelines
Note: The availability depends on funding from the trust.
The scholarships are awarded for one term.
