The Green Team (CHC Sustainability Task Force) comprised of representatives from the administration, faculty, staff and students of Chestnut Hill College, meets monthly. Its goal is to shepherd the work of deepening the commitment of the college community to sustainability. In its first year, the Green Team  focused on recycling. On October 24, 2012, National College and University Sustainability Day, Sister Carol Jean Vale launched the Recycling Campaign. Two sets of Big Belly Solar Compactors were placed on campus in addition to new recycling containers both inside and on the grounds.

How to Get Involved

  1. Join the Green Team Student Garden Club.
  2. Celebrate Earth Day, April 22.
  3. Eliminate the use of bottled water.
  4. Recycle, Reuse, Reduce

Join the Green Team. Contact Sister Mary Elizabeth at mclark@chc.edu or 215-248-7289.
