Simple Transfer Process And Discount Offered To All ITT Tech Students

In the wake of ITT Educational Services, Inc. (ITT) suddenly closing its doors on roughly 45,000 students who were enrolled at the technical school, many students – including tens of thousands of federal student loan borrowers – are left confused and questioning what to do about the future of their education. Recognizing the tremendous uncertainty and frustration these students are experiencing, Chestnut Hill College is committed to working with displaced ITT Tech students to help them navigate next steps and get them back on track in pursuit of their academic goals.

Based on proximity alone, Chestnut Hill College is a viable option for ITT Tech students in the Greater Philadelphia area. Situated in a quaint neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill College serves as a convenient location for those who may be commuting from Montgomery County or Center City Philadelphia, and within short distance from any of the four ITT Tech campuses previously located in the Philadelphia area.

Chestnut Hill College has made a number of resources available to help ITT Tech students looking to transfer. The College has assigned a dedicated team who will work with ITT Tech students on an individual basis to help them pursue their passions and career aspirations and complete their degree at Chestnut Hill College, all without sacrificing the quality of education they previously received. This includes ensuring that students can meet the course requirements, explaining which credits are transferrable, and answering any questions they may have about the transfer process.

Chestnut Hill College’s existing transfer process is fairly simple and straightforward. The institution accepts up to 75 credits provided the student meets the criteria of: earning a C or higher, successfully submitting his or her transcript, and completing all courses within 10 years of applying here. Additional efforts designed specifically for ITT Tech Students have also been implemented to further ease their transition. Namely, Chestnut Hill College is waiving the application fee and offering a 25% discount per credit. This discount is effective immediately and applies through the duration of the student’s tenure on campus until graduation.

While a streamlined transfer process helps to negate many issues faced by incoming ITT Tech students, gaining access to their transcripts has posed a significant challenge. To combat these frustrations, our staff is providing ITT Tech students with unofficial evaluations in order to keep them encouraged and patient until their transcripts arrive.

“We understand these students are under a great deal of stress and we are committed to helping them continue their education,” says April Fowlkes, Director of Admissions for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. “Here, at Chestnut Hill College, we provide our students with more than just an academic environment that prepares them for a career, but a liberal arts education that shapes them into well-rounded individuals who possess the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue rewarding career opportunities.”

The institution firmly believes in taking a hands-on, individualized approach to students’ education. From the very beginning of their academic career at Chestnut Hill College, all students are assigned advisors who serve as guides, helping students not only in their pursuit of academic and professional growth, but also personal growth.

ITT Tech students can enroll for our Fall 2 session, which starts on October 17th, or for our Spring Semester, which starts in January 2017.
