“Summer Learning on The Hill” Launches this Summer at Chestnut Hill College

PHILADELPHIA — Chestnut Hill College and award-winning camp operator ESF Camps & Experiences will launch summer “Learning Labs,” a series of cutting-edge STEM enrichment camps for boys and girls from 1st through 9th grades.

In addition, the College will host a Tennis Camp and a Multi-Sports camp, which offers 10 different sports every week. Norwood-Fontbonne Academy, just a short distance from the College and a partner in the learning corridor, will host its 28th summer with the popular Day Camp.

Chestnut Hill College will work closely with ESF to provide unique opportunities for campers to develop their skills, ignite new passions and interests and provide them with fun learning experiences delivered by top college professors and coaches, as well as graduate and undergraduate students who will serve as counselors.

“I have admired Chestnut Hill College and everything it stands for,” says ESF co-founder and executive director Michael Rouse. “We could not pass up an opportunity to work together with Chestnut Hill College to spark the STEM, entrepreneurial and athletic spirit of the surrounding Chestnut Hill community. It is our goal to provide children of all ages with the tools to become the leaders of tomorrow by giving them the opportunity to learn valuable lessons inspired by the college’s outstanding faculty.”

Faculty and administration from the college observed ESF Camps in action over the years and always came away impressed, said College President, Carol Jean Vale, SSJ, Ph.D .

“Michael and his team do an excellent job for campers of all ages,” says Sister Carol. “ESF is the best at what they do and their program offerings provide youth with amazing opportunities to grow and learn. They give children wings and are dedicated to making a difference in every child’s life through outstanding program offerings with great curriculum and a customized character development platform they’ve developed over the years that fuels optimism, happiness and positivity.”
