Chestnut Hill College (CHC) is developing an interdisciplinary minor in European Union and European Studies thanks to a two-year grant from the Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Languages Program (UISFL). The UISFL program funds projects that create, plan, develop, and implement programs to improve undergraduate instruction in international studies and foreign language.

Effective immediately, the School of Continuing & Professional Studies has added two majors: Organizational Dynamics and Security Studies. An Exercise Science major will be available in the fall 2017 in the School of Undergraduate Studies.

At their quarterly meeting on December 12, the Board of Directors of Chestnut Hill College reappointed Carol Jean Vale, SSJ, Ph.D. as President of Chestnut Hill College for a sixth and final term of a maximum of five years, effective July 1.

Thanks to the 2016-2017 Governor’s It’s On Us PA Grant Program and an award of $28,450,  Chestnut Hill College (CHC) is developing the “It’s On Us: Griffin Edition” project  in keeping with the College’s commitment toward ending sexual violence, encouraging positive bystander behaviors and challenging rape language and culture.

Chestnut Hill College (CHC) is preparing to design, develop and implement the first Cybersecurity undergraduate degree program in the Philadelphia area thanks to the newly announced Cyber Sentinels Program. The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded Chestnut Hill College a $235,980 three-year capacity building grant through the CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) program.  NSF developed the SFS grant program in response to a national shortage of experts in cybersecurity. Through the SFS grant program, the NSF supports the educational and professional development of students who will help protect the infrastructure of our nation’s critical information.
