The Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans designed to advance the College’s visibility. The Director of Marketing will build a creative, integrated marketing department that fosters brand awareness and reputation and collaborates on marketing initiatives with key stakeholders at the College.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
Eight years’ experience in progressively responsible roles in marketing, including proven working experience with web and social media, particularly within the higher education markets.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and advertising campaigns.
Experience in optimizing Web landing pages and user funnels.
Knowledge of marketing, communications and advertising principles as related to higher education institutions.
Ability to analyze and utilize market research and institutional data for the development of strategic marketing programs.
Proven organizational, analytical, and follow-through skills.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to accessibility of digital media to individuals with disabilities.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with all employees at all levels of the College.
Ability to lead and work in a high-volume, high-demand, and highly collaborative work environment.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
In collaboration with the Chief Communications Officer and Enrollment Management, develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy in support of the College’s mission, values, and enrollment goals.
Work with the Chief Communications Officer to advance and distinguish the Chestnut Hill College brand through all communications in support of admissions and enrollment growth.
Develop the College’s marketing plan in the use of website, social media, publications, and other communications vehicles.
Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, expenditure projections and spending as well as other budgetary considerations.
Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, competitive analyses, advertising campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing the College.
Provide oversight and daily management of the Communications department staff.
Assist Institutional Advancement by providing marketing support aligned with annual fundraising goals and in support of capital campaign fundraising.
Develop and implement appropriate metrics for marketing activities and campaigns and assess against marketing goals. Implement strategies to achieve optimal return on investment.
Organize and oversee the contracting of vendor services to optimize the College’s marketing efforts.
Stay current on marketing trends and emerging tools, platforms, outreach, and other opportunities.
