Assistant Professor of Business – Management and General Business


The Center for Business at Chestnut Hill College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Business (Management and General Business) beginning Fall 2022.  Chestnut Hill College, founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, is an independent, Catholic institution that fosters excellence by providing a holistic education within a strong liberal arts tradition. 


A Ph.D. or other terminal degree in business or a related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.  Candidates who are ABD and will earn their terminal degree on or before May 2023 will be also given consideration.  Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to high quality teaching.  Teaching responsibilities are primarily undergraduate including teaching in the College’s evening undergraduate business program.  The incumbent should provide evidence of a record of recent success and achievement related to the courses to be assigned.  Industry experience in business preferred.


This is a is nine-month, non-tenure track position beginning Fall 2022.  Responsibilities include teaching in the School of Undergraduate Studies and School of Continuing and Professional Studies.  Candidates should be prepared to contribute to the goals of the Center, including: (1) a high quality learning environment; (2) scholarly achievement; (3) curriculum and program development and enhancement; (4) quality student advising and mentoring; (5) service to the department and college which will include committee work; (6) ACBSP initial and continuing accreditation; and (7) support of the College’s mission to provide students with holistic education in an inclusive Catholic community marked by academic excellence, shared responsibility, personal and profession growth, service to one another and to the global community, and concern for the earth.
