After more than 18 months of community consultation, Chestnut Hill College received unanimous approval for its Master Plan from the Philadelphia City Planning Commission on April 19, 2011. This approval allows the College to move forward with its plan to expand educational opportunities for its students. The Master Plan includes multiple changes requested through its unprecedented community input process. The College continues to discuss areas related to a Community Development Agreement (CDA) with community members as it moves ahead. Additional steps in the process include a June 2011 review and vote on the College’s Institutional Development District (IDD) zoning designation by Philadelphia’s City Council.
