Pi Day

Pi Day

March 14, 2019
Location:
Math Resource Center - St. Joseph Hall, Rm. 335

This Thursday, March 14, we will be celebrating Pi Day in the Math Resource Center!  We will have lots of pi(e)-related games, activities, and contests!

To kick things off, we are going to have a pie baking contest!  Ryan Murphy was last year’s winner, and we’re looking forward to another delicious entry from him!  So bring your best pie (apple, cherry, banana cream, pizza, Shepard’s, etc.) to the Math Resource Center in St. Joseph’s Hall (room 335) for the 10:00 a.m. judging.  The rest of the pies – minus the judge’s taste slices – will be served throughout the day.  Please RSVP to me (EppT@chc.edu) if you are planning to enter a pie so that we can plan accordingly.

We will have plenty of additional pi-based activities going on throughout the day, including contests, puzzles and learning activities, and a pi-chain (continuation from last year).  So stop by and enjoy the fun!
