Moving Beyond the Walls and Open Borders: Immigration in America

Chestnut Hill College has partnered with Carnegie Mellon University to present, "Moving Beyond the Walls and Open Borders: Immigration in America." This event will be part of a series of conversations around deliberative democracy, a program that strives to improve public decision-making through informed citizen deliberations. The Deliberative Democracy method utilizes the principles and practices of deliberative democracy to create a protocol based setting for informed and well-structured conversations.

Attendees will be asked to take a pre-survey before taking part in small group discussions overseen by trained moderators. The group will then pose questions to a panel of experts, which on this topic, include lawyers, historians, social workers and more. Please consider attending and being part of these meaningful and impactful conversations around the topic of immigration.

The event will begin promptly at 5:30 PM with check-in starting at 5PM.
