Scott Browning, Ph.D., ABPP will discuss the various writings, lectures and innovations that occurred in his work on Contemporary Families, particularly those events and publications that were part of his sabbatical.
The Contemporary Family is understood as the term describing the vast diversity that is now commonly understood as increasingly typical. Divorced families, stepfamilies, families on the spectrum, families with adoption, addicted families, and the list goes on.
Professor Browning’s second book on this topic was recently published, as was a cross-cultural research project on treating stepfamilies in the US and in Italy. These projects, and others, will be summarized in this Faculty Colloquium.
