Topic: Empathy: Toward a Deeper Understanding and Practice

Presenters: Dr. Scott Browning and Dr. Cathy Nerney, SSJ

Dr. Browning and Sister Cathy will offer both psychological and theological understandings of the gift of and need to strengthen through practice the human capacity for empathy. The need for empathy has grown greater today as a culture of isolation and fear threatens the lived experience of our human interconnectedness.

Exercises to practice empathy will provide the skill-development needed to become our best selves in and through relationship.
