Tapestry of Health: Strategies that Improve Resiliency
by Daniel A. Monti, M.D., MBA

Founding Director and CEO of Marcus Institute of Integrative Health and founding Chair, Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences and first recipient of the Ellen and Ron Caplan Professorship of Integrative Medicine. For the past twelve years developed integrative medicine at Thomas Jefferson University from a part-time clinical program to a featured clinical service line with institute status and the first ever Department of Integrative Medicine at a US medical school. Organized all Integrative Medicine activities at Jefferson into an Institute structure, the only one of its kind. Currently oversees all clinical operations across three sites, which include a broad range of innovative medical and wellness services, and a highly unique imaging facility. Manages an eight-figure budget that has achieved cash flow positive clinical operations and several significant extramural funding partnerships. Instrumental in attracting over $60M in outside funds since position began in 2005. Lead all major clinical, research, and business planning and developed multiple unique products for integrative medicine, including a series of executive health programs and the only micronutrient infusion program of its kind. Developed a private label nutraceutical line for the Institute and established an e-commerce platform for sales. Published dozens of scholarly papers on Integrative Medicine with several in progress, co-edited three textbooks and co-published one popular press book on integrative health and another is in production. Continues to serve as a peer-reviewer for the NIH, DOD, and several journals. Contributed to strategic planning and executive leadership of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health.
