Computer Science and Information Technology Department
The Computer and Information Sciences department offers a variety of concentrations within the Computer and Information Technology major including programming and web development. All students participate in an internship which provides them with important hands-on experience. Outstanding students are invited to participate in the Departmental Honors Program.
All students majoring in programs within the Computer Sciences and Information Technology Department will need their own laptop with the following minimum specifications:
- Operating System - Windows 10 (64bit version only)
- Memory - Minimum 8 GB RAM
- Processor - Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 (2.0 GHz or better) CPU must support Virtualization Technologies
- Hard disk - Preferred minimum 256 GB Solid State Drive (SSD) or conventional hard disk 500GB or larger
