Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Center for Natural and Behavioral Sciences at Chestnut Hill College invites applications for a Full-Time, Tenure Track, Assistant Professor Faculty Position in the Undergraduate Psychology Department beginning in the Fall of 2025. This is a 9-month appointment with a $50,000 annual salary.

Undergraduate Psychology offers courses that encompass a range of factors that shape human behavior. Influences related to biology, particularly the workings of the brain, individual psychological processes such as cognition and emotions, and the effects of sociocultural surroundings are all considered as students are exposed to the breadth of the field. In addition, rigorous training in research methods prepares students for individual investigation and graduate study. Students can receive course credit for supervised field experiences through internships in their junior and senior years.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in support of undergraduate psychology major.
- Advise major and minor students in their academic course selection.
- Contribute to departmental duties such as assessment of the major, supervision of Psychology Club or Psi Chi, and curriculum development.
- Perform usual duties associated with a full-time faculty appointment.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Psychology. ABD will be considered if the dissertation defense is completed before starting in the start date.
- Background in clinical/counseling psychology.
- Strong research background.
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in research methods, psychological measurement, senior seminar, and developmental psychology.
