Instructor/Assistant Professor – Exercise Science
The Center for Natural and Behavioral Sciences at Chestnut Hill College invites applications for the Instructor/Assistant Professor of Exercise Science position. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position beginning in the Fall of 2025. This is a 9-month appointment with a $50,000 annual salary.

The undergraduate exercise science program provides students with a strong foundation in the basic sciences while preparing them for careers within the exercise sciences or graduate programs within the allied health or exercise science fields. Students are prepared through their courses to take various certification exams and gain valuable field experience through a supervised internship.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Doctoral Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field. ABD may be considered but must be completed by the end of the first year of employment.
- Candidates must have collegiate teaching experience within the exercise sciences.
- Other desired attributes of the candidate include clinical experience and ACSM, NSCA, and/or other professional certification, or the ability to obtain such certification[s] upon hire. Ability to work well with students from diverse backgrounds.

Essential Functions:
- Teach courses within the exercise science major, specifically: Exercise Physiology with lab, Exercise Testing and Prescription and Research Methods. Other courses, as necessary.
- Advise exercise and health science students in course selection andtheir transition into a career or graduate school.
- Contribute to departmental duties such as assessment of the major, laboratory needs, and outreach programs.
Perform usual duties associated with a full-time faculty appointment such as committees and research.
Preferences:
- Preference will be given to candidates with cardiopulmonary expertise.
- The ability to engage in research with students and other faculty from various disciplines.
